If you’re asking the question, you probably already know the answer.

Most people start therapy because something feels off. You might be anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, stuck in the same pattern, or you may be going through a major life transition and need a bit of extra support.

Therapy gives you a space to unpack all of that with someone who’s trained to actually help you make meaningful changes.

You don’t have to be in full crisis mode to benefit from therapy. You just have to be ready for something to change.

Pretty much anything that’s weighing on you.

You can talk about your anxiety, your relationship, your childhood, your career, your parents, your kids, your ex, your boss, your grief, your trauma, your fear that everyone else seems to be coping better than you are. Nothing is too big, too small, or too weird to bring into therapy.

The only rule? Be honest. We can’t help you otherwise. We’ve heard it all, so there’s nothing you can say that will shock us.

Your therapist isn’t there to judge you – they’re there to help you figure out what’s going on and what to do about it.

We don’t believe in making people wait weeks for help. Once you reach out, we’ll book a quick call to understand your needs and match you with the right therapist. From there, most people can begin therapy within a few days.

We built our practice specifically to solve the “I need help now, not in three months” problem. Because when you’re ready to start working on yourself, you shouldn’t have to wait to get started.

Yes. You can come see us in person at our Rockville Centre office or meet with your therapist online from wherever you are in New York.

Some people prefer face-to-face connection. Others like the ease of logging in from their couch. We’ll work with whatever makes therapy most accessible and comfortable for you.

It happens. Sometimes the chemistry just isn’t there and that’s okay.

If you’re not feeling it after a few sessions, just let us know. We’ll help you find someone else who’s a better fit.

The relationship you have with your therapist is one of the biggest factors in how helpful therapy will be. So, we’d rather you work with someone you actually like and trust than stick with someone who isn’t clicking just to be polite.

Your mental health is too important for that.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious or just not like yourself, then individual therapy is usually the right place to start.

If you’re struggling in your relationship, having the same fights on repeat, or feeling emotionally disconnected from your partner, couples therapy can help you figure out what’s really going on and how to fix it.

If the whole household feels like it’s teetering on the edge, family therapy can help untangle the tension and get everyone talking again.

Still not sure? We’ll help you figure it out in your first conversation with us. You don’t need to know exactly what kind of therapy you need before reaching out though – that’s our job.

We are in-network with most insurance providers. We know insurance can be confusing, so if you’re not sure what your plan covers, just ask. We’ll help you figure it out.

If you don’t have insurance coverage for mental health or your plan doesn’t cover enough sessions, we also offer sliding scale rates based on your financial situation.

We work with clients across the lifespan from young children to older adults.

Whether you’re five or 75, struggling with school, relationships, parenting, career stress, major life changes or severe mental health challenges, we have therapists experienced in supporting you.

It depends on what you’re coming in for. Some people feel better after a few focused sessions. Others want deeper, longer-term support. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all and we tailor your therapy to your needs, your pace and your goals.

We’ll check in regularly to make sure you’re getting what you need from it though. Our job isn’t to keep you in therapy forever. It’s to give you the tools and strategies you need to feel better and get back to living your life.

Yes. What you share in therapy stays in therapy.

There are just a few legal exceptions. For example, if we’re concerned about your safety or someone else’s. But outside of those extremely rare situations, your sessions are 100% private.

You can cry, vent, swear, spiral, unpack your childhood, or say the quiet part out loud. This is your space and we take that seriously.

Your first session is all about getting to know each other.

We’ll talk about what brought you in, what’s been going on in your life and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You can ask questions, share as much or as little as you want and get a feel for whether your therapist is the right fit.

There’s no pressure to spill your life story all at once. Most people, however, leave that first session feeling a little lighter, a little clearer and a lot more hopeful.

Life happens. We get it.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, just give us at least 24 hours’ notice. That gives us time to offer the spot to someone else who might be waiting.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice (or don’t show up), we do charge for the missed session because your therapist set that time aside just for you.

Need to make a change? Just call or email and we’ll do our best to find another time that works.
