I actually started out studying physics in college. My heart couldn’t get into it though because I found the subject cold and lifeless. So naturally, I went to the complete opposite end of the science spectrum and started studying psychology.

My style is relaxed and approachable. Talking to a counselor can be uncomfortable and nerve-racking, especially at first, so some humor can open things up and break the ice. Clients tell me I make things feel more casual and less intimidating, which helps them connect so the real work can begin.

As a former athlete myself, I have a particular interest in working with young athletes. I understand the anxiety they experience and how it can affect their performance and keep them from reaching goals they’re capable of achieving. That pressure to perform, whether it’s on the field, in the classroom, or just in daily life, is real, and I get it.

I work primarily with children, teens, and young adults. I’ve spent most of my life working with these age groups, starting as a camp counselor and continuing through years of work with individuals on the autism spectrum focusing on behavior analysis and reinforcement. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.

I believe that life isn’t always as serious as the mind makes it out to be. People put far too much pressure on themselves and the situations around them. While there are genuinely serious situations, more often than not, things aren’t as dire as we make them out to be. By looking at yourself and your circumstances a little less seriously, you can relieve a significant amount of stress in your life.

Once you start therapy, you’d be surprised how much relief you can get just talking things out with someone outside your usual circles. It doesn’t even have to be about your struggles at first because just talking about your day-to-day with someone who has no part in your life can be incredibly freeing. And ultimately, those concerns you’re dealing with don’t seem so difficult to talk about anymore.

We’ve made it easy for you to get started right now.

Three simple steps. No waiting lists. Just real help, right when you need it.
